O PPGAS tem por objetivos:
I. Formar profissionais com atitude interdisciplinar e inovadora para o exercício da pesquisa, da docência e atuação em diversos setores estratégicos da sociedade, nas questões de ambiente e saúde e áreas relacionadas;
II. Contribuir para o avanço científico, apropriação, reelaboração e produção de conhecimento na área Interdisciplinar e para a melhoria da qualidade dos aspectos que envolvem as relações entre ambiente e saúde;
III. Produzir pesquisas relevantes e difundi-las por meio de publicações em suporte virtual ou impresso;
IV. Aproximar e integrar os pesquisadores, discentes e docentes, mais os egressos, nas redes de produção científica;
V. Promover a difusão de saberes interdisciplinares que envolvem as relações entre ambiente e saúde nos contextos local, regional, nacional e internacional.

Objectives
O PPEH has as objectives:
I. Graduate professionals with interdisciplinary and innovative attitudes for the practice of research, of teaching and acting on several strategic sectors of society, on issues of environment and health and related areas;
II. Contribute to scientific advancement, appropriation, reworking and production of knowledge on the interdisciplinary area and for the improvement of the quality of the aspects involving the relation between environment and health;
III. Produce relevant research and disseminate them through publications in virtual support or printed;
IV. Approach and integrate the researchers, students and teachers, in addition to past students in the scientific production network;
V. Promote the diffusion of interdisciplinary knowledge, which involve the relation between environment and health in the local, regional, national and international contexts;
